The 12 rules of the spiritual-ideal man (by Stylianos Giannetakis)
- Know yourself
- Don’t get annoyed by the shortcomings and mistakes of others
- Forgive others more easily than yourself
- Always fight only against the evil within you (and not against the evil in others)
- Don’t consider yourself as better than others (Do not to feel superior to those around you)
- Always prefer the spiritual rather than the carnal benefit
- Believe that with the help and grace of God you can rise to the level of the true-ideal man
- Refrain from justifying yourself and believe that it is your duty to develop and express love towards each person, without exception
- Dont be upset when you are slandered or blamed, but feel content about it
- Fight always so that love for others dwells within you and all over the world, along with Godly justice and peace (the inner peace, which will also enable the general peace)
- Respect each person’s opinions, freedom and beliefs
- Avoid the spirit of curiosity, jealousy, and criticism, and respect each person and express it kindly and politely
